One of the number one issues that the every day person has when receiving a new haircut, is trying to style it at home. I hear it all the time, and I usually follow that statement with this question: "What are you using on your hair at home?" Listen to your stylist when you're getting your hair done and ask him/her questions about their technique. Pick their brains! They love to know that you're actually interested in what is going on with your hair.

Try to use the same, if not similar products at home. If you don't use product on your hair, or you don't EVER style your hair, that's one thing. But if you are constantly doing things to your hair you want to take the precautions to protect your fabulous strands from over heating! One of my staple products to use is a thermal guard. A lot of thermal guards are formulated so that they not only protect the hair from being over-exposed to heat, but they have a little somethin-somethin in them to help the frizz lay down as well. I like After party by Bed-Head.

Not only does a little bit go a long way, but if used right, it'll last a long time as well! it's not oily, it smells GREAT, and it comes in a pump so you can control how much you use. Apply to the ends first, then move up the head. If used afterward, for frizz-control, use a pea-sized or smaller amount, apply to the finger tips, and smooth down the hair for a shiny, soft, silky-smooth finish!

As the posts go by I'll talk more about great products to use, offer more tips, and showcase some pictures that I hope you all enjoy!
